What Is The Best Cardio To Lose Weight Fast?
Losing weight is good, but you must make sure that you are losing fat and not muscle. Many times, people are told to jump on the treadmill and run for 60 minutes a day to lose weight. This is horrible advice! No wonder cardio isn’t working for these individuals. When you look around in the gym and you see guys running on the treadmill for 45-60 minutes and they look a bit soft — that is because they don’t know the best ways to do cardio.
Don’t get me wrong, there certainly are times when good old fashioned steady state cardio should be used. However, the best cardio programs should also integrate different intervals and strategically place certain cardio workouts after/before others.
High intensity interval training (HIIT) has become quite popular over the past decade or so, and for good reason. Although many programs suggest a standard routine of 15 minutes of HIIT followed by 30 minutes of steady state cardio, there is more to it than that.
